Stretch.
Strengthen. Stabilise.
The aims are to protect bone density,
build muscle strength, improve posture and increase flexibility and
stability. In classes these aims are of a preventative nature and to
assist where there are already health concerns. For those with
specific health conditions, advise will be given on asanas which are
particularly beneficial and those to approach with care or avoid.
Props (blocks, straps and bolsters) and modifications will
be used as appropriate. There will be breathing exercises,
restorative asanas and relaxation.
In one to one sessions
focus will be on your individual health concerns, for example: back
or shoulder pain, scoliosis, menopause, osteoporosis. A personalised
programme will be developed and a print out provided to assist in
practise between sessions.
